The original Otley pub, the Commercial Hotel
was purchased by the Otley family in 1975 and renamed the Otley Arms.
It has always been popular with locals and students alike, and you can
regularly find a good mixture of the two inside. It has recently been
refurbished, and now has a much larger seating capacity than before.
The Otley has for many years been
affectionately known as ‘O Block’, as it is often
considered an unofficial part of the University of Glamorgan.
The Otley is the only of our three pubs to have a big screen & Sky.

Main Features
Otley & Other Cask Ales
Regular stockist of O1, and other Otley ales.
There is always a good selection of cask ales from all over the UK and
sometimes elsewhere. A popular pub with the CAMRA members. The Otley is
a frequent entry in the Good Beer Guide.
Pool & Darts
The Otley sports one of the largest pool tables
in the area. There is also a dartboard in the meeting room upstairs if
you fancy a change.
Sky Sports & Prem Plus
Most Premiership matches are shown on the big
screen at the bottom end of the pub. You can also watch Champions
League, Uefa Cup, Heineken Cup, Six Nations and much more. For the big
matches it is advisable to get here early if you want to get a seat.
Sunday Lunch
The Otley has always served a good quality,
good value Sunday Lunch with a choice of roasts. Food is served until 5
on a Sunday, but to guarantee your Sunday Roast it is best to get here
early or book ahead.
Pub Grub
The Otley is a great place to get a value for
money filling meal. Now serving in the evenings as well as the days,
why cook when someone else can do it for you?
